Stylist, Senior Stylist or Principal Stylist

We are currently looking for stylists, senior stylists or a principal stylist to join our team.

You must have at least 12 months post-apprenticeship experience on the floor.

You should be highly motivated, have a passion for hair, be a team player and have the willingness to keep training and undertake education. Prior to hitting the floor at Mr Burrows you will undertake a week of intensive training and assessment. This week is paid and designed to help map out your ongoing training program and to ensure you feel comfortable in the salon.

You will be supported by the Mr Burrows Family and rewarded with a very competitive salary and commissions.  We have positions available in both our Newtown and Marrickville locations, with options of part time or full time. Full time positions generally work a 4 day week.


2nd/3rd Year Apprentice

We are looking for a second or third year apprentice to join us on our luxury journey.

You must have a drive and passion for hairdressing, be self-motivated, have initiative and a willingness to learn.

We have high standards delivered through high end training that will help you soar to new heights. It is our aim to support you to become a very successful hairdresser.


Salon assistant

This is the perfect job for someone that loves the hair industry but may not want to commit to an apprenticeship, or just a fun job to fit around your other commitments.

You should be motivated, self-directed and keen to support and work as part of a team.

You will support the team by greeting and seating guests, shampooing and colour removal, toning, general salon tidying and making beverages for guests.

This role can be part time or full time.  We are open Monday to Friday 10am to 9pm.  We will consider people that would like to work whole days or just evenings.


Front of House Salon Coordinator

If you have experience as a hair salon coordinator or you are a hairdresser who is thinking about retiring your tools, this could be the position for you.

You will be the first point of contact at the front desk whilst also being across the salon floor where you will work alongside our salon manager to help ensure the salon runs smoothly for both clients and staff. You will demonstrate great leadership skills to support the team in a calm, organised and timely manner. 

Having a fun, friendly personality and ensuring the highest level of customer service is a must! 

Essential Skills

  • Previous experience as a salon coordinator/FOH
  • Exceptional customer service experience
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Problem solving skills, enthusiastic, honest, reliable and self-motivated
  • Professional, well dressed, well presented and well spoken
  • Thrive in a busy, dynamic environment
  • Be proactive, detail focused, and comfortable working with systems and processes
  • Computer skills using Microsoft Office, Google Drive
  • Experience working with (Kitomba) salon software highly desired but not essential
