I only just recently had my hair cut (pixie) short from shoulder length hair. I was not happy with the cut from the... first hair salon and was looking for another stylist. I came across the raving review for Luke of Mr Burrows Newtown and made an appointment. After all, it could not be worse then my original cut. And what a change it was. I am so happy with Luke's cut. Above all, he listened to what I wanted and delivered. He uses techniques that instantly tell you that he is interested in what he does. Hairstyling is not just a "job" for him - it is a profession.And a special mention goes to Lena, the receptionist. It’s not easy to find a good cutter, especially for short, fine hair with kinks and cowlicks. I sometimes can’t control... my hair just one week after a cut. Well on my first visit to this salon, hoping to get a short, fashionable, contemporary cut, Luke cut my hair and WOW. what a precision cutter. By far the best cutter I have ever had in my life. I went to Mr Burrows Newtown with very very poorly self bleached hair and a hope of fixing it without it all breaking... off. I saw Luke who was so amazing, against all odds I left with beautifully (evenly) bleached blonde hair without loosing all my length! had my first visit at this hairdresser which is situated about 6 minutes walk away from Newtown train station.the... shop has good selection of music played and a unique selection of skilled hair dressers. hair cut starts from 60 - 140 dollars.they also offer other services like balayage to name a few..I would say the staff are very professional and highly skilled. Mr Burrows is fabulous. Not only do they give you wine AND cheese, they do wonders for your hair both on the colour... front and the cut front. On top of this, they are always so warm and welcoming and really look after you. I walk out looking like a better version of myself. One of the best hair salon experiences I’ve ever had. Luke was warm, welcoming, listened to all my ideas, then helped... me make great decisions with my colouring.I was absolutely rapt with the end result and get complimented all the time. The price was exceptionally good value.Enjoyed my cheese board and beverages. Always felt that I was a valued client with lively conversation and genuine laughs with Luke and the other staff. Every time I leave this place I feel like a million bucks! I love every part of the experience; apart from getting the... best hair colouring and styling I've ever received, the staff are lovely and talented, I get pampered with hot drinks cheese boards & wine and the salon is beautiful and spacious. The atmosphere and services are always a high standard at this salon externally and internally. I have previously been... with both Nikki and Rob on different dates (as I’m very open to my booking and put trust into anyone who takes me on as a client) whether it was for a cut or colour as I get shocking regrowth and very dry ends always leaving them to be creative with the styling. Everyone here is very accomodating to your needs as a client both food, beverage and hair-wise. The end of service I always leave feeling more confident (feeling myself and my hair) and booked in for my next appointment. I have had quite a few bad experiences with my hair, until I went to Mr Burrows in Marrickville. The salon has a great... vibe, I felt super relaxed during my time there. Such a pleasant experience!!! Blake made sure to ask me loads of questions, and made sure to get me exactly what I... wanted. It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Unfortunately I had just been to get my hair done and was disappointed with the outcome, so I went to Blake to see if he could fix it and he did one hundred percent. It was exactly what I wanted and exactly what I was looking for. I would recommend Blake and his coworkers at Marrickville to anyone looking to get their hair cut and coloured!!
